Hello Everyone!
I don't have tons of time today, but I definitely have time to talk
about the amazing miracle that happened this week! We were finally
able to baptize T_____! He has been so prepared for so long and we were
able to get his mothers permission, baptize him, and confirm him all
before he left to America this last Saturday! It was busy, and really
crazy, but we were able to do it and every thing really just worked so
smoothly. T_____ asked if I would baptize him, and it really was such
an amazing opportunity! We had a great program with some really good
speakers and then we went up and did it. I am not sure if I have
talked about Shibuya's font, but it is pretty amazing. We went up
there and the baptism went perfect. When he came back out of the water
he just turned to me glowing and I gave him a huge hug and he was just
so happy. Things went perfect and it was just an amazing day.
The reason that my subject is tism tam slam is because after every
baptism you have to slam some Tim tams. I don't know if I have ever
explained this, but there are some cookies that are actually from
Australia, but they are really good but you bite a little piece off
each side, and use them as a straw to drink hot chocolate. But because
they are a chocolate cookie thing, they melt while you drink the hot
chocolate so you hurry and kinda slurp them up haha. It must sound
really weird, but it is really good and because we had 8 missionaries
staying in Shibuya because of the conference the next day, we did it
with eight missionaries and it was just way too much fun. Nothing like
a tism tam slam. We will have to do it someday;)
The best part about the whole night though was that the next day when
we woke up, we had a message from T_____ from the previous night but we
were in bed and he basically just told us that it had been the best
day of his life and that he was so happy and so excited to be a
member. That is what it is all about. It made me so happy to hear that
from him and hear that he is excited to continue to be a great member
of the church. I am so excited for him to be in California and to grow
and continue to learn there. It is going to be so good for him!
The other amazing this about this week was the elder cook conference.
That was amazing. You can just feel the power they have when they
talk, and feel the amazing spirit they bring into a meeting. It was
such a blessing to hear from him and learn from him. I know that he is
a man of god and that he is a special witness of Jesus Christ.
I love you all! I hope things are all going well and that you are
enjoying life! It is a beautiful time to be alive haha. I hope you all
know how grateful I am for you, and how much I love and pray for each
and everyone of you! I will talk to you soon!
