wow, another week for real? this is just crazy how fast things are flying by at this point. the craziest part is that i got travel plans yesterday! this is real! i really am going to leave the mtc and go to japan! it is so exciting. Next monday, we will be leaving the mtc about 1 o clock to catch our flight at 4 that heads the LA! we then will leave that airport at 7 ish, and head to Japan! the weirdest part is that we will get there at 11pm....the next day! so we literally will like miss a day heading there! it is going to be so crazy! but i am so excited and i just know this is going to be a slow week because i won't be able to stop thinking about going! but it is so good and things are great!
ok so first thing is that..this week has been really really good! our district has really been awesome this week at focusing and working as hard as we can before the mtc is over and we are in Nihon! so that has been great! i felt like it has been a very successful week and i can only hope that this next week will be even better! to start the week i just kinda brought up to the district how we all are the most amazing missionaries and just kinda said that i know that if we use these last few weeks the best we can, the lord will help us and make sure we are as prepared(as we can be) and be where we need to be when we get to japan. so i really think that everyone kinda worked together and made sure that we were working our hardest! so it has been an amazing week!
so something that kinda stood out to me this week was well..there were a couple things i guess but one was we had a sub teacher, and me and my companion were supposed to teach our normal teacher, but since they were gone we got to teach this teacher named hugo sensei! his kudosha(investigator) name was tominaga san, and he was our first investigator! we taught him for a few weeks at the very start, so we were able to teach him again and kind of follow up and talk to him! it was such a neat experience, because at this point we could understand sooooo much more than we used to be able to, and it was so much fun, and so much more spiritual!! so we talked to him about how he was doing and he told us that he wanted to continue to improve, and what he needed to work on to get better and keep improving. I had the thought to ask how his book of mormon reading was going and he said that it was good, but he still had not really read very far into it. i asked him if he would be willing to try and read it all, and that he would receive so many blessings if he did, and would really gain a greater knowledge of the gospel. he said he would try, but asked how long it should be for him to read it. we challenged him to read it in a month from that day. he was shocked and told us we were crazy. we then told him that we would read the entire book with him, in one month, if he did too. he couldn't believe it, but he excepted the challenge! and said that he would do it! so now we will be following up via email in a month to see how the scripure reading went! im so excited! it was a very cool experience, and i really felt the spirit so strongly!
one more quick experience was this last tuesday. we always have a devotional at the marriot center and afterwords we come back and as a district have a really cool little review and talk about what we learned. they are always soooooo spiritual and seriously one of my favorite things we do here in the mtc. our district has such an amazing spirit, and the things that people say are so amazing and inspired! i feel like i always hear something that i need to hear and something that really helps my week. so when we did this this last sunday, it was seriously one of the best ones! we all just told like what we got out of it, and it was truly amazing. I can't even remember exactly what everyone said, but once we were done and everyone had gone, right before the prayer i just told everyone how much i appreciated their thoughts, and how much i have learned from everyone. i was so grateful for the spirit that they helped me feel, and it was really an amazing experiece! i am sooooo grateful for my district! they have made the mtc a great place for me.
so really there isn't much more to tell about this week, i only have one more week in here and then i am heading to japan! i love all of you so much! know that i pray for you every night, and that i know that this gospel is true! i love the work i am doing, and can not wait to be doing it in japan! love you all!
love,
Cottle choro
